The NAS Stafford and District Branch is run largely by volunteers, many of whom have family members on the autism spectrum. We aim to provide groups, activities and support for children and young people with autism, and their families.
The Stafford Branch was launched in March 2001 and covers Stafford and its immediate area, as well other parts of Staffordshire. Our activities are wholly funded by donations from our local community and our members’ fundraising activities.
We have a number of trained volunteers supporting our clubs and activities. If you would like to volunteer or get involved with the branch in any other capacity, please let the Branch Officer know (details on the ‘Contact’ section of the website.)
The Stafford Branch of the National Autistic Society aims to:
Provide information, emotional and practical support to people and families who are affected by Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
Provide information and support to people who have a professional or personal interest in ASC
Represent the needs of people and families affected by ASC and work to influence change in perception and practice
Raise awareness of ASC locally
Campaign for positive change
