A branch of the National Autistic Society

Activities and Clubs

Stay and Play Club:

The Stay and Play Club is for children aged 3 -11 who have autism, their siblings and family. Parents stay with their children and it is a great way to get to know people in an informal and fun environment. Play is supported by staff and volunteers. Parents have access to a resource box where they can look through or borrow books/magazines on autism.

We have a range of activities including sensory room and resources, art and craft, bouncy play, music, climbing & activity toys, bike and go karts.

Location: Littleworth Community Hall, St Thomas Street,

Stafford, ST16 3UU

Stay and Play runs twice a month on a Saturday from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Please see our events calendar for upcoming dates or dowload the flyer on the button below.

Lego© Club:

The branch is offering a Lego© Club for children with autism between the ages of 6 and 14 years. This is an exciting group enabling children to build Lego models together, working as part of a team to develop social skills.

The idea behind the concept is to encourage high-functioning children with autism or Asperger syndrome to communicate with each other and solve a problem by building in pairs or groups of three, according to set rules.

One child acted as the “engineer” and described the instructions, another as the “supplier” finding the correct pieces, and the “builder” put the pieces together.
